This suit was brought by the City of Los Fresnos (City) to enforce the collection of delinquent ad valorem taxes for the years 1974 through 1979 assessed against real property belonging to the appellants, Edward J. Hale and his wife. The State of Texas, County of Cameron and the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District also had claims against the same property for delinquent taxes covered by the same years.
