DENNIS, Justice, dissenting.

I respectfully dissent. Defendant's statements to law enforcement officials and the evidence obtained as a result of those statements should have been suppressed. I believe the state did not bear its burden of proof of showing that the statement made to the sheriff was made freely and voluntarily. Nor did the state prove that the seizure of the murder weapon...
