This cause comes to us on appellee's petition to transfer from the First District Court of Appeals. At the close of plaintiff Shanks' evidence at trial, the trial court entered judgment on the evidence for defendant-appellees A.F.E. Industries, Inc. The Court of Appeals reversed the trial court and ordered a new trial, finding that the question of the feasibility of safety devices that would warn users or bystanders that an elevator leg was about...
