On July 7, 1977, defendant, James Creed, entered a plea of guilty in the Circuit Court of Wright County to the felony charge of stealing property of another of the value of over $50. The trial court imposed a sentence of 10 years. After defendant was incarcerated, he filed a Rule 27.261 motion to vacate his sentence. After an evidentiary hearing, the trial court denied the motion.
