BRYNER, Chief Judge.
Henry L. Russell was convicted of assault and battery on June 6, 1978, following a jury trial in the district court. On appeal to the superior court, his conviction was affirmed; this appeal followed. Russell argues that he was denied his right to speedy trial under Criminal Rule 45.
