The defendants, Stanley Sokolow and William Lordan, were accused of violating the Illinois Cannabis Control Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 56 1/2, pars. 704(e) and 705(e)) after Federal agents stopped their car and recovered cannabis.
