Appellants Joseph Leroy Owens and Cedric Eugene Scott were indicted for first-degree murder, armed robbery and related offenses and in July, 1979, they were tried jointly by a jury in the Criminal Court of Baltimore. They were convicted of felony-murder and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony or crime of violence. Each appellant was sentenced to concurrent terms of life imprisonment and fifteen years' imprisonment...
