PETRIE, J.

Roy Lee Taylor appeals his conviction of first degree extortion. We have reviewed defendant's assignments of error relating to waiver of jury, midtrial confession hearing, sufficiency of evidence, and adequacy of counsel. We find no error. Accordingly, we affirm.
