On May 2, 1980, the defendant, Gill L. Davis, pleaded guilty to burglary. After a sentencing hearing, he was sentenced to three years imprisonment on June 2, 1980. Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 604(d) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 110A, par. 604(d)), Davis filed a motion to withdraw his plea of guilty which was denied.
