Defendant was indicted in two counts for importing and for possessing with intent to distribute ten pounds of heroin, in violation of 21 U.S.C. Sections 952(a), 960(a)(1) and 841(a)(1). He has moved to suppress certain statements made while he was under arrest, on the grounds that they were obtained in violation of his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and that they were "involuntary".
