Smith, an interdict, filed this suit against the State of Louisiana to compel the defendant to honor an option to reconvey to the interdict's estate certain property in Metairie, Louisiana, which had been expropriated in 1959 for the construction of Interstate Highway I-10. The original area expropriated from Smith contained 14,332 square feet for which he was paid...
