The defendant, Hosea Meadows, appeals from his conviction for the offense of armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 18-2) following a bench trial in the Circuit Court of Will County. At the conclusion of a sentencing hearing he was sentenced to the minimum six-year term of imprisonment. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 1005-8-1(a)(3).)
