Defendant Billy R. Woods was arrested on January 13, 1980 in Ouachita Parish for driving while intoxicated (DWI), a violation of R.S. 14:98. He was originally charged by bill of information with DWI-4 but the charge was later reduced to DWI-3.1 Defendant proceeded to a bench trial and was found guilty of DWI-3.
