Plaintiff, Allied Realty, Inc. [Allied] appealed a $7,500.00, plus costs, judgment in its favor resulting from an action on a $35,000.00 promissory note executed by defendants Gregory K. and Wendy Boyer1 [Boyers] made payable and delivered to Allied. The promissory note was to assure Allied's commission pertaining to a real estate transaction between Ryan and Dan Hoffmeister [Hoffmeisters] and the Boyers.
