MILLER, Justice.

This appeal arises out of a conviction for aggravated assault. Appellant was charged with attempted murder as a result of an early morning knifing incident in the parking lot of a gasoline service station. The court instructed the jury on the offense of attempted murder and the lesser included offense of aggravated assault.
