Plaintiff, a citizen of Ohio, brought an action in diversity for the alleged conversion by Defendants of a used ship's engine and certain appurtenances thereto. The fair market value of the items was alleged to be in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), and Plaintiff sought a like amount as exemplary damages.
