Defendant, Eric Stanley, was charged by information with murder and armed violence. A jury found him guilty of both charges and the court sentenced him to concurrent terms of 30 years for each crime. (A co-defendant, Michael Cobb, not involved in this appeal, was tried simultaneously by a separate jury. He also was found guilty of both charges and was sentenced to concurrent terms...
