This case involves a boundary dispute between owners of adjoining residential land in Kualoa, Oahu.

In April 1976, Appellant Albertina Mousel (Mrs. Mousel) sent her neighbor Mrs. Minatoya a letter asking her to "please move your garage on to your own property". There being no response, the Mousels tore up the concrete driveway at the entrance of the garage, extended their panax hedge so as to partially block the entrance to the garage, and padlocked...
