Plaintiff is employed as a construction inspector by the New York State Department of Transportation. He is also a licensed owner, trainer and driver of trotting and pacing horses. As a result of an incident at defendant's facility on April 7, 1971, plaintiff, in an action for false arrest, has obtained a verdict against defendant for $750 in compensatory damages and $5,000 in punitive damages.
