In 1976 Alfonso Davis was convicted by a jury of two counts of aiding and abetting in the unlawful distribution of a Schedule I controlled substance in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and 18 U.S.C. § 2, one count of conspiring to distribute a Schedule I controlled substance in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846, and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841.
