The plaintiff rented a house in Pepperell and, under the lease, was given an option to purchase the premises. Despite the plaintiff's attempt to exercise the option, the defendants refused to convey the property, and the plaintiff brought this action for specific performance. The defendants moved for summary judgment, urging that the plaintiff had not unconditionally exercised the option, but, at most, had tendered a counteroffer which was never accepted...
