STATE v. CUTHRELL

No. 8015SC652.

272 S.E.2d 616 (1980)

STATE of North Carolina v. James CUTHRELL, Sr.

Court of Appeals of North Carolina.

December 16, 1980.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Atty. Gen. Rufus L. Edmisten by Asst. Atty. Gen. Robert R. Reilly, Raleigh, for the State.

Levine & Stewart by Michael D. Levine, Chapel Hill, for defendant-appellant.

WELLS, Judge.

Defendant first assigns error to the admission into evidence of the cocaine and marijuana identified at trial. Defendant contends that with respect to these exhibits there was not a sufficient showing of a chain of custody. This contention is without merit. The officers who handled the drugs positively identified the exhibits and accounted for every link in the chain of possession. State v. Olsen, 25 N.C. App. 451
