On May 9, 1977, the plaintiff-appellant, Peter B. Hannah, sued James A. Ryder Corporation to recover over $150,000 on an oral agreement to pay a 15% sales commission for finding Iranian purchasers of the defendant's cranes. The trial court entered summary judgment against Hannah on the ground that Ryder had conclusively established its affirmative defense of accord and satisfaction.
