Defendant was convicted by a jury of breaking and entering an occupied dwelling with the intent to commit larceny therein in violation of MCL 750.110; MSA 28.305. Subsequently, the prosecution filed an information charging defendant as an habitual felony offender under MCL 769.10; MSA 28.1082. Defendant pled guilty to this habitual offender charge and was sentenced to a term of 5 to 22-1/2 years imprisonment, with
