Following a bench trial, defendant Richard Sepinosa was convicted of aggravated battery and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 1 year to 1 year and a day. On appeal he contends the State failed to prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Evidence at trial established that on September 7, 1977, Donald Mitchell was beaten...
