At trial, a tape-recorded statement made by defendant to a law enforcement officer was introduced into evidence, which tended to show that defendant's stepson, Wilbert Clinton, was at defendant's home when an argument ensued between defendant and Clinton, because Clinton had not visited his mother while she was hospitalized.
