The eighty-four indictments before the Court today are a consequence of the massive "Cuban Refugee Freedom Flotilla"1 which took place in the Spring of 1980 and which resulted in over 125,000 undocumented Cuban nationals being transported from Mariel, Cuba to Key West, Florida.
