OPINION

DALLY, Judge.

This is an appeal from a conviction for the misdemeanor offense of driving a motor vehicle on a public highway while intoxicated. The punishment is confinement in the county jail for five days and a fine of $250.00.

Appellant contends that the trial court erroneously permitted the prosecutor to prove, at the guilt-innocence stage of the trial, that appellant had previously been convicted of the misdemeanor offense of driving...
