Following a jury trial the defendant, Mark Ripa, was convicted on four counts of possession of various controlled substances and acquitted of one count of possession with intent to deliver. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 56 1/2, pars. 704(e), 1204(d), and 705.) Defendant was sentenced to two years' imprisonment on the four counts, the sentences to run concurrently, and was also fined...
