These actions arise out of a motor vehicle accident which occurred on Interstate 81 near Cortland, New York, on January 18, 1976, involving a car owned and operated by Larry O. Slocum and a tractor trailer owned and operated by Harry O. Wiltse. Wiltse's tractor trailer was leased to Sullivan Motor Lines, Inc.
