Defendant was convicted of two separate heroin sales to an undercover officer, one each in October and November of 1976. On appeal defendant's primary contention is that the trial court's premature termination of an in camera hearing to determine whether a confidential informant could and should be produced at trial deprived him of his rights to confront witnesses and to a fair trial.
