The plaintiff, Karl Ludwig, commenced this civil action, in Kent County Superior Court, against Frank Kowal, the defendant, with the filing of a complaint seeking recovery for the value of stolen jewelry allegedly received and converted to his own use by Kowal. After the trial justice denied Kowal's motion to dismiss, the defendant answered the complaint. Thereafter, the pleadings were amended, and Ludwig filed a motion for summary...
