Lavedna Garis, daughter and sole heir of Lura Kent, sued to set aside a deed from Lura Kent to James Massey. Lura Kent is now deceased. Ms. Garis' complaint alleged Lura Kent was legally incompetent when she signed the deed, that her husband Jim Kent exercised undue influence and used fraud and duress to induce her to sign the deed, and that the consideration was inadequate.
