WISDOM, Circuit Judge:

This case is no stranger to the Court; it has been here twice before. In one way or another all three appeals involve the effect of evidence that a dead cat was found on the doorstep of a key witness.

In February 1970 George Kastenbaum, a Miami lawyer, and Norman Jacobs, the manager of a taxicab company, were tried for conspiracy to commit extortion and attempt to commit extortion in violation of the Hobbs Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1951...
