CASSIBRY, District Judge:

Inmates of Orleans Parish Prison, Orleans Parish, Louisiana brought this class action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 challenging the constitutionality of various practices of the prison officials. Immediately prior to the time the case was set for trial on the merits, the parties reached an agreement as to all but one of the contested issues, and notified the Court of this settlement in an amendment to the pre-trial order.
