When the brakes on a fully loaded garbage truck failed, it rolled down a sharp incline. As it jumped the curb, the driver and his helper leaped overboard but Dr. Silver's house was unable to get out of the way and the vehicle entered into the living quarters. The resulting disturbance forms the object of the present suit and the jury's avoidance of plaintiffs'1 damages the reason for the current opinion...
