ARNOLD, District Judge.

Caroline S. Campbell, formerly an instructor in mathematics at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, claims that the University failed to reappoint her because of her sex. She asks for reinstatement and back pay, relying on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended in 1972, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(1), which prohibits employers from discriminating "because of . . . sex . . .," and on 42 U.S.C. § 1983...
