OPINION

MATTHEWS, Justice.

Billie Nygren was tried in the superior court on a charge of manslaughter1 for the unlawful killing of her husband, Per Nygren. A jury found her guilty and she was sentenced to eight years imprisonment with five years suspended. She appeals the conviction and the sentence imposed.
