Defendants were charged with committing "the abominable and detestable crime against nature", i.e., sodomy, MCL 750.158; MSA 28.355, with each other while they were inmates at Marquette Prison. Following a three-day trial by jury, defendants were found guilty of the lesser included offense of attempted sodomy.
