In an ex parte hearing conducted under the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.), the Industrial Commission entered an award in favor of Jerry Kennedy and against his employer, Interstate Contractors.
