PRYOR, Associate Judge:

Appellant, convicted in juvenile court and committed to the custody of the District of Columbia Social Rehabilitation Administration, challenges two court orders granting one-year extensions of the commitment.1 As grounds for reversal, appellant urges that the trial court abused its discretion and misconstrued its statutory authority in granting the extensions.
