WILLIAMS, J.

By information, Robert M. James was charged with attempted burglary in the second degree, RCW 9A.28.020(1); RCW 9A.52.030(1). Before the trial, James moved to dismiss the charge because the State reported that a wire, said to have been used by him during the attempt, had been destroyed. The motion was granted and the State appeals. We reverse.

The facts are these: A citizen reported to the police that she had seen James trying to force the lock...
