Defendant, Charles Coleman, was charged by information with the rape (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 11-1) and unlawful restraint (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 10-3) of an 18-year-old Rockford girl. After trial by jury he was convicted of both offenses and sentenced to concurrent prison terms of nine years and one year, respectively. Defendant appeals both...
