Pursuant to a jury trial in Wayne County Circuit Court, Sergio Giombetti was convicted of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, and the possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Giombetti was sentenced to a term of 9 to 20 years on the conviction for second-degree murder, and to a consecutive two-year term for felony firearm. His codefendant, Ward Adkins, was convicted of aiding and abetting a second-degree...
