The parties were married on September 13, 1957. They last lived together on March 29, 1977. Alton C. Churbuck, the husband and defendant herein, filed a complaint for divorce on March 30, 1977. He later waived a hearing on his complaint in favor of a complaint filed by his wife, Sandra M. Churbuck, the plaintiff, on April 8, 1977.
