Ms. Carolyn J. Hagler purchased an automobile from Bart Starr Lincoln Mercury on January 19, 1976 and financed the purchase of the vehicle through Ford Motor Credit Company (hereafter FMCC). Ms. Hagler defaulted on her payment agreement in August 1976 and FMCC filed suit against her in February 1977 to recover the unpaid balance on the note.
