On 12 July 1979 a jury in the Criminal Court of Baltimore (Murphy, J.) found the appellant, Gerald Davis Fuller, guilty of the first degree murder of his wife. The appellant's motion for a new trial was denied on 16 August 1979, and four days later he was committed to the custody of the Commissioner of Correction for the balance of his natural life.
