Defendant Gerald D. Burnett appeals from a conviction by a jury of six counts of felony theft in violation of K.S.A. 1979 Supp. 21-3701. (Count 6 was based upon the prior theft statute which made theft of property of a value of $50 or more a class D felony, because it was committed prior to the 1978 amendments.)
