The defendants appeal from a May 8, 1979, order of the circuit court awarding the plaintiff $4,938.46 for attorney fees and costs in connection with an action brought for foreclosure of the plaintiff's mechanics' lien.

The plaintiff furnished labor and materials for the construction of a multi-family residential project in Kalamazoo, known as Willow Creek, pursuant to a contract entered into in February of 1974 with Altman Construction Corporation...
