Defendant was convicted of murder in the second degree for causing the death of her two-year-old daughter. On April 19, 1976, at approximately 2:15 P.M., defendant, accompanied by a friend, brought her daughter to the emergency room of the W. C. A. Hospital in Jamestown. The child had severe burns on the lower half of her body, was bruised on her head, chin, upper arms, shoulders and back, had welts...
